Work with the Washington Spirit
I started out with the Spirit in August 2019 as a videography intern, where I attended select trainings and games to film the team, and create recap videos and hype videos to use for social media use. As the season came to a close in October 2019, I was brought on as an independent contractor. I then played a role in set-up, filming, and editing various content capture shoots. I also have worked various social/promotional events for them and created content for both internal and external use. Since then I have continued to attend events and games (both in-person and virtual) to create video for the team’s social media.
2021 Season
Still as a contractor, I have been taking on more of a role in the team’s content creation, from production planning to shoot set-up to editing. I have taken charge of the monthly exclusive content for our Season Ticket Holders- from conception to export. I have become the team’s main editor since the start of the new year, and continually look to better my skills with every new video and challenge that I face.

2020 Season
With what started out as a promising season with many planned content capture days where I assisted on sets and attended more trainings, turned into pivoting as a content team- creating as much fresh and different content from the safety of everyone’s home. I assisted with livestreams on Twitch, live clipping highlights, as well as putting together promotional videos advertising our streaming content: Catch The Spirit Podcast, The Richie Burke Show, Match Replays, and Livestream Panels. With restrictions being lifted, I learned again how to use the content we have and stretch it out across all social media.

2019 Season
I began my journey with the Washington Spirit at the end of their 2019 season as a videography intern, where I learned a lot about sports videography and editing. I continued to assist them after the season ended with social events, content capture days, and social media posts.

I have grown a lot as an editor, videographer, and content creator through my work with this team. I have developed many editing skills with Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects, gained a lot of experience in sports videography with a variety of cameras and media equipment, and learned how a content team works to be a successful sports team on social media and beyond.
